Orange County | Wedding Photography | Tom & Lisa

Okie dokie, hopefully I can get some of these amazing 2008 weddings that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting blogged for your holiday viewing pleasure.  In case you’ve just gotten engaged….CONGRATS!!!

Tom & Lisa has been long time customers of ours, since 2003…(I think) when I was her older sister Linda’s wedding photographer.  At that same time, their family also took the opportunity of their wedding to take a family portrait in our studio.  And since then, their family has been like my family!  They’ve referred numerous portrait and wedding clients and we love them for loving our work so much!

From this wedding, I’ve also met a phenomenal videographer that comes up with the most stunning cinematic style of video that I’ve seen.  His name is Yaz Kim and you can check out some of his work here.  Also, the wedding went smoothly with the help of Caroline Chang and her team of professional coordinators of Serenity Events.

Ok, enough chit chat…to the pictures:)

Hyatt Regency Orange County | Wedding Photography | John & Vivi

So now that I’m blogging somewhat regularly, I got the 2nd wedding that I shot for 2008. This wedding is probably one of the more extravagant wedding that I’ve been to to date. I was in for a treat with all of the details everywhere put together by John & Vivi. They had their ceremony and reception at the Hyatt Regency Orange County and every time I shoot there I find something else cool to shoot! Check out the images below:)

lovely Vivi getting her pretty on!

I like this silhouette of Vivi getting her makeup done….so…..documentary

John showing his softer side:)

such nice details!

I love how the videographer has a camera from the 80′s and L-O-V-E to get in front of my lens at any and all possible (and sometime impossible) situations. Really, anyone that’s worked with me professionally at a wedding or any event for that matter know that I’m probably the most accommodating and easy to work with photographer, there is absolutely no need to …um….try to box out….we can share all the shots together if you like. Be professional please!

Beautiful rings…

oh look 2 of these guys……I’m definitely adding a clause in my contract about NOT allowing any other photographers at the wedding. And for all you brides out there planning your wedding, just make sure you spend good money on ONE good photographer (or photography team) for your wedding and you will get excellent results. You’re just going to be biting your self in the rear if you have more than one official photographer/team trying to get the important shots! Like this one….ruined:)

1st kiss, lovely moment!

see all the beautiful details? The mood lighting, the centerpieces, decor…….so nice!

I think a bottle of whatever this is costs like 1/3 of what I charge for photography. But you only get to enjoy it just once, photos last much longer IMO.

wow, I love the decoration!

Cake fun!

Beverly Hills Court House & Adamson House Malibu | Wedding Photography | Elodie & George

This wedding was kind of a last minute booking for me. But to my amazement, they were referred by Iwei as well! SO SWEET! Iwei, I owe you big:)

Elodie (a French name…..it’s like Melodie without the M!) and George (like George Washington, without the Washington…..ok, not funny) had a cool small ceremony done at the Beverly Hills Court House…but we got a chance to drive down to Malibu to shoot at the Adamson House……

On a personal note, since I had just finished serving up my JURY DUTY duties for 9 days at the Pasadena Court House, I was not too excited to be heading into another courthouse. But luckily the security people at this courthouse were pretty cool with me bringing in my cameras and gear.

Yorba Linda Black Gold Country Club | Wedding Photography | Linh & Jason

Wedding of Linh & Jason was shot at the Black Gold Country Club in Yorba Linda….the only place that made me get lost….! Don’t believe your Navigation or Google maps or Mapquest if you’re going to this place. Just call them and they’ll set you up with not too confusing directions…

Before I shot this I did not meet Jason so I didn’t really know what he wanted…but luckily they both loved my work that they saw here on the blog and Linh heard some nice words about my work from someone at a nail salon so it was real easy for us to get along…:)
