a ticket………….REALLY?

I was parked on 6th street in Alhambra, and after visiting my dad I noticed that I had a big surprise on my windshield.  Yay, a ticket for $50 because it was street sweeping day.  And since I was taking some pictures for my dad’s room that he was putting on Craigslist to rent out, I helped my self to take some pictures of the street I’m parked on.

THERE IS CLEARLY NO SIGNAGE ON THE ENTIRE BLOCK THAT WARNS ABOUT STREET SWEEPING!!! Why would they expect me..someone who don’t live there…to know about their F*ing street sweeping rules?
Thanks Alhambra….you’re the greatest!  Keep handing out them tickets:)

Janelle - You really should try to contest the ticket then if there’s no obvious signage about street cleaning. When I got a ticket in July in similar circumstances, I wrote a 3-page letter with multiple pictures included and my parking violation was indeed cleared by December. =)

Jack - Pay the $50 and move on….;-) No need to be occupied with $50. I will treat you to some Korean BBQ if it makes feel better….hehehe

Henry - thanks guys….yes, I followed my dad and wife’s advise and just be a good little troll to shut up and pay the damn ticket. Jack, I think we’re meeting this coming Tuesday night, so I’ll take my Korean BBQ that night. Thanks! heeheee!

Virge - one of the reasons i dislike living in alhambra! if it makes you feel any better, kenny and i both parked on the street overnight (this is when we first moved in) and each got a ticket for not having a permit. tried to contest it and was denied. =.( …and to make you feel even better, anthony & stella got one a couple of weeks ago (had the overnight parking permit even) for not writing in their plate num. on the permit. ridiculous! we have given the city sooo much money already…sigh …it’s time to move…
